HEXA Food Sdn. Bhd. is a home-grown food manufacturing company, producing more than a hundred different types of spices, herbs, seasonings, ready-to-cook premixes and marinades in our factories. Our products are all HALAL, HACCP and ISO 22000 certified, and are available at retail outlets, supermarkets, hypermarkets, wholesalers, and our online store. We also supply to other food retailers and manufacturers in Malaysia, and export to countries like South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China, among others.
Based in Malaysia, HEXA originates from humble beginnings, and was established in 2007 to initially handle the marketing needs of Krisanya Sdn. Bhd. products (which were in existence since 1997) and since then, we came into our own. Our brand name, HEXA, is a blend of the words ‘Healthy’ and ‘Extra’. The reason behind this is that we want to emphasize the importance of 6 areas in our life that contribute to and shape our wellbeing, namely Self, Family, Physical, Career, Social and Spiritual health.
We currently have a diverse workforce of more than 80 people. In 2018, we set out to establish the HEXA IoT company, which is designed to meet the needs of industry and global expansion, especially in equipment and machinery, and to comply with food safety requirements and regulations nationally and internationally. Our work processes are now digitalized and we have created our own software called Pandora and HMI to ensure better connection, monitoring and production yields.
Krisanya Sdn. Bhd. is established, manufacturing flour and spice products. Customers include retail outlets, supermarkets, hypermarkets, wholesalers, and food processors & manufacturers. (Food caterers, Canneries, Sauces, Snack food, Seasonings, and Noodles Manufacturers)
Krisanya Sdn. Bhd. is accredited Halal status by JAKIM (Department of Islamic Development Malaysia). This sets the benchmark for all Krisanya products. The main products are Tepung Atta, Tepung Suji, Tepung Kacang Hijau, Tepung Kacang Kuda.
Krisanya Sdn. Bhd. re-designs her production flow to accommodate increasing demands and stricter food regulations. It becomes the preferred supplier of high quality spice products for many HACCP certified local and multinational food companies in Malaysia.
Hexa Food Sdn. Bhd. is formed to handle the marketing needs of all Krisanya products. The total number of products has exceeded 100, ranging from flour, spices, beans and pulses to exotic herbs. Krisanya products are being exported to countries such as Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, and South Korea. Under a partnership programme, Hexa Food also begins exporting high quality Sarawak pepper products and Indonesian origin spices such as nutmeg, cloves, and cassia to various Asian countries.
We create our tagline “We’r Cooks” to illustrate the fact that we understand and appreciate food and cooking, and in knowing that, we promise to deliver all that makes cooking an incredible experience for our consumers.
We begin supplying to 99 Speedmart (Malaysia) our very own ‘HEXA’ Instant Oats. It is the first product that carries the ‘HEXA’ brand. We become focused on catering high quality herbs, spices, seasonings and custom blends to food manufacturers and food service distributors.

We launch our Quad Spice Series (4-in-1) to the retail market; it includes Italian Herbs Series, British Table Seasonings, American BBQ & Steak Seasonings. This innovative design packages 4 essential herbs and spices into a single jar, which is ideal for the modern household. Subsequently, we launch our Rock Salt and Organic Cane Sugar, as well as English Curry powder and Volcano Chilli Powder.

Our new factory is now accredited with HACCP standards by MOH (Ministry of Health). We start exhibitions in Thaifex in May and Fi: Asia in September. We have around 50 employees at this stage and are approaching annual sales of RM10 million. With knowledge and experience gained over the years, we develop a competitive edge, and we pride ourselves in tailoring to the needs of our customers with the best possible cooking solutions. We are honored to win second place in the Enterprise 50 organized by SME-Corps.
We open our Concept Store in April 2017 which is located in Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam. The main ideas behind the concept store are to have a centre to display the whole range of HEXA products as well as give the opportunity to our customers to purchase our products at reasonable prices. Our online shop www.ebaza.com.my is updated and we launch our online stores in the top local market places (i.e Shopee and Lazada). Aiming to make cooking easier for our customers, we start increasing the production of seasonings and ready to cook premixes.
We start to embrace the Internet of Things (IoT) in order for our manufacturing process to evolve and advance, and become IR4.0 ready. What began as an internal IoT team will further evolve into a IoT startup later. We also exhibit at prominent international food exhibitions such as Gulfood, Dubai and ANUGA, Germany. Also, our sponsored E-sport team M8HEXA (Dr. Yew) managed to bag a SEA Game Gold Medal.
We are now certified ISO:22000, and our clientele has expanded to other countries in the region. We also launch our Breakfast Oat Mix along with 99 Speedmart, providing solutions to the rising health issues in Malaysia – High Blood Pressure and Diabetes. With this new product, we aim to assist the mentioned group by providing healthy alternative meals.
Construction for our 3rd Factory begins; it will feature a state-of-the-art automated production line to cater for future domestic demand and exports.
